In addition, many African countries are highly vulnerable to the adverse impacts of climate change: More extreme weather events could impact agricultural output, and the shift away from fossil fuels could also result in the loss of jobs and revenues for petroleum exporters. However, the global decarbonization agenda also provides opportunities for African countries to invest in novel industries and leapfrog
